MUNICH (Germany) - Belgium, Slovakia and Sweden have officially submitted bids to become additional FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027 co-hosts, with Finland and Lithuania already confirmed as part of the hosting lineup.

The cities to be evaluated as potential new Group Phase hosts are Antwerp in Belgium, Bratislava in Slovakia and Stockholm in Sweden.

The bidding process to add one or two further co-hosts, which was reopened to ensure the event is hosted under the most favorable conditions, is now closed.

The final decision regarding the additional co-hosts for the 2027 edition of Europe's flagship women's basketball competition will be taken by the FIBA Europe Board in its November meeting.

Finland and Lithuania were confirmed by the FIBA Europe Board as hosts last year, with Finland designated for the Group Phase and Lithuania serving as the location for both the Group Phase and the Final Phase.

FIBA Women's EuroBasket 2027, the 41st edition of the tournament, will take place from June 16-27, 2027.
